This weekend the 540 is showing out — parades and fireworks, yes, but also poetry nights, craft shows, live music all over downtown, and a rubber ducky derby on the Rappahannock. There's something for everyone's version of celebration, whether that's a cold beer on a patio or a midnight axe throw.

Saturday, July 4 | Gates open 4:00 PM | Fireworks after 8:00 PM 📍 Virginia Credit Union Stadium, Fredericksburg, VA

No better spot to celebrate America's 250th. Gates open at 4 PM for bounce houses, yard games, field activities, and live music headlined by Virginia Man. At 8 PM the stadium closes and the biggest fireworks show of the year — presented by F.H. Furr and the City of Fredericksburg — lights up the sky from the parking lot. General admission is just $5. This is the anchor event of the weekend.

FXBG Peeps Show — Happy Birthday America! 12:00 PM – through Aug 9 | Visitor Center, Fredericksburg Patriotic Peeps dioramas on display at the Visitor Center with the theme "Happy Birthday, America!" Free. A quick, fun stop during the downtown Fourth festivities.

First Friday DJ Takeover 9:30 PM – 12:30 AM | Durango Grill, Fredericksburg DJ spinning your favorite hits plus $5 appetizers all night. Kick off the holiday weekend right.
